Azerbaijan and Tajikistan Sign Education Cooperation Agreement

BAKU — Azerbaijan and Tajikistan have approved a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of education, adding another country to Azerbaijan's growing network of international education partnerships. The agreement is expected to formalize academic exchange, joint programs, and institutional cooperation between the two countries going forward.

The move follows a broader pattern this year of Azerbaijan expanding education ties across multiple regions simultaneously — from the recently launched Turkey-Azerbaijan University to outreach meetings with OpenAI in the UK and new scholarship arrangements with South Korea — reflecting a deliberate diversification strategy in how the country builds international academic relationships.
